SURVIVE A STREET FIGHT!!!!

All those fancy kicks and punches you can see on TV are not going to help you in a real fight where you might be fighting for your life.

I am not saying that they are useless against somebody who does not know how to fight, but can you take that chance?
You might have another black belt in front of you, or a krav maga master.
They will not put up with your flying, spinning kicks. They will nail you to the ground and you are done.

That is why you need to forget slow high kicks, wide kung fu punches, or karate spinning uraken- uchi punches.
They will get you in trouble. What you need are punches and kicks wich are ACCURATE, FAST, POWERFUL.

What you need to do is stick with the boxing techniques, low kicks and front thrusting kicks (mae geri).

Boxing techniques are short, powerful, fast and accurate.

Low kicks are good, because nobody really expects you to go for his legs, these kicks make serious damage and can make your opponent think about his legs and give you the chance to go for his face! (I will do a complete article on low kicks or gedan mavashi geri kicks in karate)

Front thrusting kick (mae geri) is good because it is the fastest kick you can deliver and it pushes your opponent away from you.

These were the techniques you need to use to defend yourself.
Once your opponent is on his knees, barely standing or just hurt, you can use some of those fancy kicks and show off for the girls. :P

Now, these were the techniques, but they will not help you if you are not fast enough to HIT FIRST!
Remember, if your opponent hits you first, it will probably mean that you loose and that you are going to end up being in stitches, with broken bones, maybe stabbed, raped, dead or you are just going to wake up somewhere in the forest without your kidneys.

So, these are the rules that will help you survive the firs few seconds of a fight. Those few seconds might be enogh for a martial artist to land one punch or a kick that will end the fight, or for a lady to escape.

1. Do not hesitate. ACT!

On the first sign of agression - ACT! Kick him, punch him, use your fingers, fists, jacket or a purse you have in your hand. If you are close, him in the face with your forehead and follow with an elbow. Do you get my point?

2. Go for his face!

Once you act, go for his face. This will make him respond with a reflex and it will block his sight. He will close his eyes and move back for a second. Enough for you to land a serious kick or a punch.

3. It is OK to go for his genital organs!

STREET FIGHT HAS NO RULES! To survive, you need to use all his weak points against him. Eyes, neck, genitals... If he is stronger than you, go for it....

4. Use everything as a weapon!

Remember, a weapon is just a tool. It has different shapes. It does not have to be a katana or a gun. It can be an umbrella, dish, chair, bottle, telephone, microwave, anything that can hurt your opponent and save you!

Remember these rules, they might save your life one day!
